Dead Silence Writ 2600 - Traveling experience (Travel Writing)

Aside from my angsty teen side, I love to explore the darker sides of writing. You may have noticed I like to reference Edgar Allen Poe and the goth themes he represents. In attempts to tell a horror story of my own, I looked to answer the experience of traveling to a “new” place and explain the chilling thrills of myths and old legends.

In the forest's hush, I found my way,
Amidst the whispers, where shadows play.
Anger's tempest, a storm within,
Led me to this quiet din.

Through winding paths and broken dreams,
The forest sang, or so it seems.
Its secrets whispered on the breeze,
Echoes of souls, seeking release.

Forgotten tears, in silent streams,
Reflecting hopes, and shattered schemes.
But in its heart, a gentle call,
To let go, and see all along,

I had found my haunted song.
